Oddball

My husband and I have this freaky occurrence we refer to as "the Jeopardy thing".  It isn't only Jeopardy...all kinds of things cause these weird coincidences we always notice!  I guess it's kind of similar to Deja Vu, but totally different.  Okay, before I lose you, let me explain:
Have you ever had a totally random thought or conversation and then saw something else about it on t.v. or the radio later?  I don't mean that you heard Lady Gaga on the radio and then went home and saw her on an award show...that isn't freaky, that's just a nation obsessed with all things Gaga (something I don't think I'll ever understand...).
Let me give you an example:
One day, the hubs (S) and I were talking about something off the wall and I said the word "triskaidekaphobia" (triss-kuh-deck-uh-fo-be-uh...for those that don't know it is the fear of the number 13).  Now, I ask you...how many times has that word come up in conversation for you on a given day?  I guarantee if you say none you are in a large majority!  So how randomly weird is it that later that SAME day one of the "Questions" on Jeopardy was "triskaidekaphobia"?!
That is 1 of the more out there examples I have, but it's become a weekly, and sometimes daily occurrence at our house!
Now I know you might be thinking "you were just more aware of it because you were talking about it".  I get what you are saying, but this is not like when you buy a car and all of a sudden there are nothing but that make and model on the highway.  There's an explanation for that one...there are only so many variations of vehicles that most of the population can afford.  (Now if you buy a Lotus Esprit and suddenly notice 12 of them in your town...then either I can't afford to VISIT your town or you are having a Jeopardy thing, too!)

S and I have been talking about documenting all the occurrences to see how often it really happens.  I created this page to keep track of it and to allow you guys to take a peek into the weird world he and I seem to live in!
